Fruit fly infestation is more common in cucurbits family crops.(Ridgegaurd /sponsegaurd/bitter guard etc.).

Management:

  1. Remove infected fruits from the field and destroy them.
  2. use fruit fly trap @20/acre. (only this way we can control fruit fly infestation for long period of time).
  3. Weekly spray of neem oil @30 ml or Dashparni ark@150ml/15 liters of water to prevent the infestation.
  4. Weekly spraying of Fenos Quick (flubendiamide 8.33% + deltamethrin 5.56% sc)@10ml/10 liters of water.
