Advisory for prevent flower drop in cotton

  1. In month of September, we have observed many areas of cotton suffered from the flower drop.

Main factor responsible for flower drop:

  1. Nutrient imbalance in plant.
  2. Excessive vegetative of crop and less aeration.
  3. Less pollination
  4. cloudy weather and drizzling of rain etc.

Management

  1. Immediate spray of NAA(planofix)5 ml + boron @20 g + fluvic acid@ 40 ml/15 liters of water.
  2. Spray 2% DAP (200g/10 lit of water) + NAA (planofix)5 ml/15 liters of water.
  3. Need base spray should be taken depend on incidence of sucking/bollworm and fungal incidence.
  4. Apply split dose of nutrient.
